Welcome! Thank you for choosing the Bridgewater Community Childcare center for your child’s early childhood education programing. Our center is licensed with the State of Vermont and follows all regulations set forth by the State of Vermont Child Development Division. Childcare is an important decision. The first years of a child’s life shape their outlook on the world and learning experience. BCC values this important time for the child and family as a whole. Our educators are here to support families with the many aspects that come along with the ever changing landscape of childhood and learning.

The Purpose of the Bridgewater Community Childcare is to meet the daytime childcare needs of our community providing a high-quality learning and caring environment between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday (please see our calendar for holidays & closures). BCC’s Afterschool Program is open Monday - Friday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm during the months of September to June (following the district’s first and last day of school).

Mission

Bridgewater Community Childcare supports the Bridgewater area community by providing an affordable high-quality learning and caring environment for young children. Our program is founded on a holistic approach which considers the wellbeing of the whole child and family in a comprehensive, practical system, including the ongoing development of our staff and program.

Our mission is to nurture the development of children, families, and teachers - allowing curiosity, creativity, enriching experiences, exploration of the natural world, and an interest in learning to let them flourish and thrive mentally, physically, and emotionally while enhancing their own self-discovery and the discovery of the world around them.

Philosophy

The Bridgewater Community Childcare believes in a unique and holistic inspired approach to learning and teaching that address children’s physical health, inner well-being, cognitive development, relationships, and connections with the natural world. We view the well being of young children in our care as interconnected with the wellbeing of their families and our community, including the environment in which we learn, play, and live together.
